Welcome to Elizabeth Football Club

A Message from our President

The Elizabeth Football Club was founded in 1956 at Ridley Road Reserve and is one of the strongest and well known sporting clubs in the Northern Suburbs. Our Club is based on family values and has a strong working class background. Many of our volunteers and supporters played both Junior and Senior football and have a strong commitment in making the Elizabeth Football Club successful both on and off the field. In the past a number of players from the Club have established successful football careers in the SANFL as well as the AFL, with the most notable being John Platten. We also have a strong and successful partnership with
the Craigmore Cricket Club (CCC).

2021 was an extremely successful year for the Club with two Senior Premierships by the ‘A’ and ‘C’ Grades who went through the whole year undefeated. In conjunction, the ‘B’ Grade and those Junior teams playing for points all made the Preliminary Final, making it one of the most successful years in the Club’s history. As a Club we aim to deliver sustained success by having the best people in every position, both on and off the field, and earning the respect and pride of the local and football communities
through fair play and sustained success. The Elizabeth Football Club has strong structures in place, but is continuously looking to improve and grow. Our Committee is diverse with a breadth of experience and is committed to strong governance. We have a stable and experienced coaching group at both Senior and Junior level, with loyal volunteers, supporters and Sponsors who have a visible and tangible pride in our club. It is important to those in the Club that there is a culture in place that
inspires excellence and attracts new talent. There are a number of goals set for the Club both on and off the field for 2022 which include:

- Develop a football structure that provides a state of success in playing finals consistently.
- Deepen the connection between the Senior and Junior players by implementing a development squad to transition promising juniors into the Senior group.
- Identify and uphold a playing culture and standards of the highest order.
- Develop and provide a positive environment for all players and supporters.
- Implementing a junior and senior women’s football side.
- Foster and grow relationships with key stakeholders and sponsors to ensure the club continues to make a positive contribution to the localcommunity.
- Review, develop and monitor the Club’s governance, compliance, regulatory policies, frameworks and continued financial growth.

The above are just some of the many goals and improvements to the Club to assist in achieving the outcomes required and with your generous support, I am confident the Eagles will achieve success both on and off the field.
